About Chad:
My racing career started as a young child going to the races at
Platte Valley Speedway in Lexington, Neb. I grew up watching racers
such as Denny Egge, Kenny McCarty, Wendell Stevens and Don
Vonderfecht.
Knowing that I always wanted to race I got the opportunity when I
was 14 to start packing the track in my brother Mark's Sportsman
car. When I was 15 I started hot lapping every week, and when I
turned 16 Mark and I alternated nights driving the Sportsman Car
#87.
My first heat race win included the all-stars of that time: Denny
Egge, Terry McCarty, Doug Stange and Jerry Hackler.
My mom and dad have had so much influence on my racing career to
them I owe more than I can express. I have driven racecars in
Nevada, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Arkansas. I
drove for Stan and Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, at the Southern
Challenge in Abilene, Texas, and they taught me a lot about racing
at big shows.
I feel very fortunate to have raced with some of the best in the
business, including David Murray Jr., Johnny Saathoff, Ronnie
Wallace, Jon Thompson, Kenny McCarty and many others on a weekly
basis.
I want to thank the following people for all of the help that I have
had learning the racing business and without them we would not have
had the success we have had: Jay Neal and staff at BSB
Manufacturing, Stan and Mike Nichols, my ENTIRE FAMILY for
supporting me, Denny Egge, Kevin Shaw, Wayne Brooks, Scott Sueferer
and many others.
And thank you to the grace of God for allowing me to be surrounded
